The Special Education & Rehabilitation Minor is designed to introduce general knowledge in the areas of rehabilitation, Deaf studies, and special education.
Special Education & Rehabilitation Minor
This 18-unit minor requires a minimum of 9 upper division (300-400 level) units. Through this program, you will take courses from top scholars in a variety of subjects, including:
- SERP 400: Survey of Exceptional Students (3 units)
- SERP 414: Introduction to Disability Studies and Services (3 units)
- SERP 416: Disability Perspectives and Narratives (3 units)
- SERP 402: Behavior Principles and Disability: Assessment and Intervention (3 units)
The program will help prepare students for a variety of careers in the field of special education, including roles as an itinerant teacher, parent advisor, and early intervention specialist.
