The following is a list of requirements for the program:
- Apply to the University of Arizona Graduate College at grad.arizona.edu.
- Official transcripts of all higher education work must be sent to the TLS office (address listed below) for each institution previously attended.
- Two letters of recommendation. Professional references should address the applicant’s potential to successfully complete advanced degree work and to participate in scholarly and research activities. Educational Specialist and/or Doctoral Applicants: At least one letter should be from a faculty member affiliated with an institution in which you completed a graduate degree program. The letter should attest to your potential to conduct scholarly and research activities. (Note: Placement file letters of recommendation are not acceptable in lieu of reference letters since they seldom indicate potential for advanced degree work).
- Resume or vitae which includes education, honors, membership and participation in professional organizations, employment history, research, and scholarly activities and publications.
Admission to a degree program is not considered by the department until all the documents are received by the graduate coordinator.
To facilitate prompt admission procedures, submit all application materials at least six months prior to registration. It is strongly recommended that international applicants submit all application materials at least one year in advance.
